Collection to Support Elderly Priests and Vocations  

First, Archbishop Hebda has asked us to support the capital campaign for the Byrne Residence where our retired priests live--including our beloved Fr. Welzbacher! It needs $6 million in renovations.

Additionally, our Vocations Fund is coming down to the last few hundred dollars. Approximately six years ago we took up a collection to buy textbooks, etc. for seminarians. It also funded other activities such as "Nun Run" bus trips so high school girls discerning a religious vocation could visit convents around the Midwest. Your extraordinary generosity at that time meant we had ample funds to do so until now. This fall we will have two more graduating seniors entering St. John Vianney Seminary! It is time to replenish the fund used to assist them.
