St. Patrick’s Day Dispensation
A general dispensation has been granted by Archbishop Hebda from the obligation of abstinence from meat on Friday, March 17, 2023, the Memorial of Saint Patrick.
Those taking advantage of the dispensation, however, are exhorted to undertake a work of charity, an exercise of piety, or an act of comparable penance on some other occasion during the Third Week of Lent. Read Archbishop’s decree.

This Lent we will be revisiting, perhaps the greatest spiritual masterpiece ever written; The Confessions of St. Augustine. The Confessions will be examined in five parts:
The series will be held in Sts. Peter and Paul room beginning at 7:00 pm. Reading the Confessions is not required but encouraged. The translation we will be using within the series is the one done by Frank Sheed. Any translation is suitable. An audiobook version is available through Formed.
“Saintly Salons” are independent, informal, small gatherings that address various topics of interest-some serious and some not so serious.
Each salon is on a first-come, first-served basis, and due to the nature of these small home gatherings, space is limited.
Many thanks to the parishioners who are helping to make these events possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to Liz at liz.toenjes@hfcmn.org.
We are a flock of many individuals, each with a unique story and varying experiences. In an effort to continue building community and friendships in Christ. Mary Lou Pease— “Foolish Atheist Gets Wise”
