Altar & Rosary Society

If you are a registered parishioner of our parish and a woman, you are a member of the Altar & Rosary Society of Holy Family!
The Altar & Rosary Society greatly contributes to our Church; it is a service organization that supports the needs and projects of our parish as directed by our Pastor, Father Joseph Johnson. The group also strives to spiritually nurture the women of Holy Family through hosting speakers, putting on retreats, and encouraging a love for Our Blessed Mother. Praying Mary's prayer, the Rosary, is a core activity of the Society.
Altar & Rosary Society Dinner Meetings
All women of the parish are invited to attend two dinner meetings a year. A speaker presents an enlightening talk at each, on a topic usually connected with our faith, and we also conduct a brief Altar & Rosary Society business meeting. Both dinners are excellent opportunities to socialize and to meet some new faces at Holy Family.
Sugar Plum Days
Sugar Plum Days is a fun and successful way to raise money for the many items and projects needed in connection with our sanctuary and sacristy. Sugar Plum Days usually takes place the first weekend of December.
“Martha and Mary” Volunteers
We coordinate volunteers who “work for Jesus” by cleaning, ironing, dusting, washing, and doing whatever else is needed for the upkeep and care of our church's sanctuary and sacristy areas.
Deceased Members
We remember each of our deceased members by praying the Rosary before and having an honor guard present during her funeral. We also pray for her by having a Mass offered at Holy Family.
First Fridays
On the first Friday of each month, after the 8 a.m. Mass, ladies of the parish are welcome to gather in Moorman Hall for donuts and socializing.
Magnificat Books
We sponsor and distribute the Advent and Lent versions of the Magnificat meditation book to parishioners each year.
Holy Family Networking
We provide networking opportunities for the women of Holy Family; by doing so, we hope to foster friendships and community spirit!
