In 2016, we celebrated the parish's 90th anniversary, the school building's 65th anniversary, and the church building's 55th anniversary!
In 2017, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Adoration Chapel!
Holy Family Parish (founded in 1926) is a vibrant and growing Roman Catholic community in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. We are located in the beautiful Sorenson Neighborhood in St. Louis Park, just west of downtown Minneapolis.
Since 2000, we have grown by an average of 92 new families each year. In addition to our newer families, we cherish many longtime parishioners, several of whom have been here since the church was built and blessed in 1961.
We are fortunate to have our Pre-K (3 year old) through 8th grade school, Holy Family Academy (built in 1951), just across the street. Since the school's re-opening in 2001, Holy Family Academy has provided Catholic formation to approximately 200 students a year from the parish and elsewhere. We are solidly planted on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church He built, and will forever remain dedicated to forming saints for the Kingdom of Heaven.
The children of Holy Family Academy celebrate Mass with the parish at 8:00 AM every weekday (the students of Chesterton Academy, grades 9-12, join us every Tuesday and Wednesday). HFA students also frequent the Adoration Chapel, and they fill the sanctuary for prayer times, Stations of the Cross, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Altar boys and lectors for daily Mass are either from Holy Family Academy, our many homeschool families, or Chesterton Academy.
We are truly a family of faith!
